A fiber optic light bulb, - hmmmm - an interesting piece (hand assessory) of technology put together.
It could prove easy to carry around but how functional it turns out when one needs to be work with ones hands - cant say.
Besides walking in the dark, with your index finger lighting up the path could be a tiresome posture to walk with.
