I think you may have Top Gun mixed up with some other movie. While it did feature Tom Cruise, he never flew a B-52 bomber. In fact, they were not flown at all in the movie.

The main jet flown was an F-14 Tomcat.

During training flights the pilots used A-4 Skyhawk.

The enemy aircraft were F-5E and F-5F Tiger II’s, also referred to as MiG-28’s.

Right, this is not a Top Gun chair, but rather one for watching the movie Dr. Strangelove. If you don’t have time for a 1˝ hour movie, go to Youtube.com and search for ’B-52 crash’.
